World Famous : Sketches of Leonardo Da Vinci

leonardo da vinci sketches 19

Various sketches of the 1400′s creative mastermind, Leonardo Da Vinci, are popping up all over the internet. His sketches of anatomy are astonishing and simply the peak of sketching perfection. I much prefer looking at the rough and rugged workings of artists rather than polished finales, so below you will find some exceptional examples of what this artist had to offer.

Project Showcase: Good Enough to Eat by Drew Melton

Drew Melton (1)

This is what happens when 3 brilliant artists get together. “I asked to design the poster for the Louise Fili event during the summer of 2010 and I couldn’t have been more happy with a project. Louise Fili is a new york based designer who specializes in Restaurant identity and food packaging.

This project was a collaboration between myself, Neil Hubert & Ryan Pavlovich. Neil is a great friend and designer and Ryan is one of the most talented photographers I know. From the moment we sat down we realized that we all had the same idea. Shoot the poster at actual size with food as the headline typography. When so much talent gets together on a project like this it pushes design up to a whole new level.”

Allt Gott Branding by Kristin Agnarsdottir 16

recently I am studying Branding as part of a large University project. So rather than not submitting new content up here, I’m going to post the inspiration I come across, from the business card to sculptures, hopefully I will cover them all. Allt Gott (all good) is a non-profit collective of Icelandic products and manufacturers. They operate under a common manifesto and share a common goal. The goal is to expand Iceland’s role within the global consumer economy and strengthen Iceland’s export brand. Iceland suffered an economic collapse in October 2008 and it is vital that Icelanders look forward and create new venues and opportunities for the country to survive. Project by Kristin Agnarsdottir

Ajndk Terminal Christmas Identity Project 2

So recently I am studying Branding as part of a large University project. Sonho and Sonhos Branding Inspiration 10

Nelson Balaban taken on the challenge of redesigning the brand of Sonho and Sonho, In the last 10 years the brand has experienced their worst period in the market, with the introduction of the international franchising systems. Sonho & Sonhos was completely overlapped, and were almost forgotten by the middle-upper class. With no other route to success, they had to sell there brand to investors. The first step was to re-design, Nelson Baladan was the answer and has given there brand a fresh, new, and modern look. Even the Business Card is stunning and cleverly fits in with the Icon he designed, I for one think Nelson has done a brilliant job.

Michael Wesely (6)

Michael Wesely’s Photographs are all long exposures, in this project he exposed images for up to three years! They turned out brilliantly, in each image you can see ghost like buildings that have been knocked down during the years and the light changing. I actually bought this book at a car boot sale for a few pence, I’m pretty lucky I managed to find it so cheap.
