Responsive web design is the most hot and happening trend and its popularity is swelling like anything else because of the presence of numerous devices that people are using to access internet. So, if you are into this responsive web design thing, you must have been through a tough time making content adaptive and clean, keeping layouts fluid and images flexible. But this is not the end of the task. There is an additional responsibility of ensuring the fact that the template is going to render smoothly and seamlessly in as many different browsing environments as possible. A daring task indeed. So, to make your pain bearable, here I am going to present a comprehensive list of tools that can supercharge your responsive web design layout like anything else.

The Responsinator: This is a cool tool to ensure that the template is working seamlessly on almost devices imaginable. The coolest part of this tool is that it creates an outline of the devices and makes your webpage featured against it. A great tool to make your clients impressed.

resizeMyBrowser: This is a great tool for all those people who spend a considerable amount of time browsing with Safari. This tool has got some advanced and sophisticated features that include “MoveTo tool”, “More customizable presets”, “Resize multiple tabs at once”, “Offline usage” and more. However, this tool has got some chink in its armor. This tool is not compatible with Chrome and Opera.

Responsive Design Testing: Looking for a quick and easy way to find out how you can test the design of your website in multiple screens at a go? If this is the case, this tool serves your purpose precisely. It is basically an i-frame-based application and does not require that much involvement from your side. All you need to do is to enter the URL of your website and there you go.

Screenfly: This is another mind blowing application that will let you test your website on different resolutions on diverse devices that include television, mobile, tablets, desktop etc. However, this tool has its own share of limitations. For say, desktop testing is pretty much restricted to Safari, however mobile, tablets and other devices come with greater variations.

Demonstrating Responsive Design: This tool, is meant to let you have a clear idea of how your website is supposed to appear in different iDevices. For say, you check how your website is supposed to look and feel in iPhone in both the Portrait and landscape modes, iMac and iPad.

Window Resizer (Chrome App): This is an amazing app that works with Chrome. This tool resizes the browser’s window to create a simulation of the device or the resolution in question. A handy tool for those who would like to test their website in different resolutions but in a slightly interesting way.

responsiView: This is another handy tool that is designed with the concept of allowing people to test any website in any browser size. It comes with the below mentioned default setting that include –

Mobiles – landscape orientation: 480×320

Mobiles – portrait orientation: 320×480

Tablets – portrait orientation: 768×1024

And more. Just specify the browser size and a new window will pop up that will have the same width and height as you have specified. A real time assessment of your website’s multiple browser friendliness.

Resizer: This tool will let you make changes in the dimensions of the web page. You just need to open the webpage that you want to taste and then press this bookmarklet and all the information will be right there in a matter of few seconds.

Funismagus is about an explorer who set forth on a journey for revenge. The magic wand will fight four powers of the ancient world (fire, water, earth and air) and it will lead the way for the explorer. ‘This is a set of 14 free, high-res vintage film textures that are incredibly useful for adding texture to almost any design or illustration. I sourced them from 19th century Daguerreotype photographs that are available in the public domain and simply went through and removed all of the subjects from the images to leave behind the great texture of the old film and prints.’
