This incredible collection of surreal photo manipulations have been created by Russian photographer and artist Oleg Dou. The manipulation of these portraits is so extreme they no longer look photographic, but rather like digital paintings. Oleg has been busy making a name for himself in recent years and have found great success with his work. We recommend checking out his online portfolio as it was created by Flëve Partners and was rewarded Site of the Day by FWA.

Usually we would feature a collection of artworks from a particular project or theme. But here we are bringing to your attention one single piece created by Alex Sovertkov entitled 'No Camera Selfie'. He has perfectly manipulated together a collection of images to re-create his own version of the iconic 'Hand with Reflecting Sphere' by M.C Escher.
French Canadian Photographer Benoit Paillé has landed himself three mentions on our cozy blog to date; the first was for his insightful documentary project 'The Rainbow Gathering' and the second was for his beautiful 'Alternative Landscapes' project where he placed an luminous block in a variety of spaces. Within 'Crossroad of Realities' Benoit places himself within the popular GTAV video game. He talks about how this project is "erasing the border between the two worlds". He also mentions that whilst he was exploring the landscape of the game he "observes the surrounding elements with the …
Alberto Seveso, a talented designer and illustrator from Italy, he has been experimenting with a technique that includes documenting the mixture between water and ink and incorporating them into his design work. The results are outstanding and entirely unique, to create the same two shapes would be impossible which quite rightly adds to the elegance and beauty of each piece. Alberto is known for his more elaborate photo-manipulations and imagery, but this collection is what caught my eye.
Dawid Cmok is a graphic designer and graffiti writer from Poland, what I like about Dawid is that he does not restrict himself, he tampers with digital art, photo manipulation and typography, his versatility really shows in his online portfolio.
Joel Robison, a fantastically creative photographer exploring deeper and deeper into the art of photo manipulation. His images are usually quite surreal complimented by dream like ethereal color schemes. Joel sells prints on his Etsy store, be sure to check it out via his website.
Michaelo is amazing at photo manipulation, each piece starts with a simple image, and through digital painting in Photoshop he creates fantastic final pieces. It usually take Michaelo between 2 and 4 days to create an image and he started using Photoshop in 1998. I think I always knew that art was in my future. Even as far back as preschool I can remember drawing pictures in class and wondering why no one else put as much time and effort into it. I do believe that the focus and determination it takes …
