Chalk Lettering by Shaun Smylski

These chalk lettering pieces are by Shaun Smylski, a brand designer living in Spruce Grove, Canada. Shaun’s chalkboard typography has been inspired by the various designers working on The Phraseology Project and Society6, not that this is obvious, Shaun has quite obviously added his own flair within the intricate details as shown particularly on the T&A piece, I can’t help but be reminded of another chalkboard artist that we have featured before, Dana Tanamachi when I look through Shauns pieces.

“Hand lettering based off of words delivered by Frank Chimero. Taken from a scene in ‘Aladdin’ where a dubious thief becomes swallowed by the giant head of a tiger for not being worthy of entering into its treasure filled belly alive; sinking into the ground to become part of the insignificant grains of sand.”chalk lettering
