Art director Niels Buschke has redesigned photographer Leif Schmodde’s portfolio into a magazine with the title ‘A Leif Style Magazine’. The magazine layout compliments Leif’s work and the use of line and text are used perfectly throughout. The concept of transforming a portfolio into the style of a modern magazine design is fantastic, and I can only imagine the first impression of Leif’s potential clients as he hands them this beautiful publication.
If a picture is worth a thousand words, you should probably let a photographer’s work speak for itself. However, Leif Schmodde was more than willing to take a different route, when he commissioned us to design his latest portfolio. So what the Hamburg based photographer got, is probably closer to a magazine than to a classic piece of self-promotion. Full-mouthed headlines, timid questions and quirky puns scattered over the pages invite the reader to a journey with the man himself.
